The First Art Event on Liberty Island

The Trust Art Triennial is an art event taking place on Liberty Island that celebrates 11 public art projects that were realized by 17 young artists with over 500 community participants in and around New York since 2009.
The event will consist of a special exhibition (housed inside a geodesic dome custom-designed for the occasion), site-specific art installations, live performances, and an area where event-goers can take action on new projects and ideas.

To get to Liberty Island you must take the ferry from Battery Park.

DIRECTIONS TO BATTERY PARK, NYC

Public transportation is recommended for visits to The Statue of Liberty from the New York Departure. Parking is limited.

BY SUBWAY

  1. 4 or 5 Lexington Avenue Line to Bowling Green
  2. 1 or 7th Avenue Line to South Ferry
  3. N/R to Whitehall St/ South Ferry

BY CAR

From Queens and Brooklyn: Take the BQE to Brooklyn Bridge, FDR South to Exit 1 toward Battery Park/ Staten Island.  From Manhattan and the Bronx: FDR or the West Side Highway to Battery Park. Parking garages are located on West Street and South Street.

INSIDE BATTERY PARK: Please follow signs for the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Castle Clinton. The boats depart from gangway 3.
